This Sprint Triathlon is held at Georgia Baptist Conference Center located in the foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains in Toccoa, Georgia. We are centrally located midway off I-85 between Atlanta, GA & Greenville, SC. (just over the South Carolina line) This is the first triathlon for this YMCA location & is being co-directed by Jim Martin, Director of the Tri the Rock - Rock Hill, Assault on Cherokee & Fort Mill events. The event will be a 500 yard swim in open water (Lake Louise - non motorboat lake), a 13 mile bike ride - loop with gently rolling hills mainly on back country roads. The 3.1 mile (5k) run will be an out & back on country roads. Please see below aerials for each.

All the proceeds wil be split between youth scholarships for the Toccoa Stephens County YMCA & college scholarships for graduating seniors at Stephens County High School.

*** This triathlon is held in memory of Lainie Weade, a long time supporter of the TSC YMCA. Lainie was an avid marathon runner & cylclist who lost her battle to breast cancer***

DIRECTIONS

From Atlanta, Georgia, take I-85 North to I-985 North. Exit right onto Hwy 365 at the Toccoa/Lavonia Exit. Travel for six miles. Turn left onto Hwy 123 at the Jeannette Jamieson Intersection. Travel eight miles on Hwy- 123. Turn left onto Lake Louise Road. We are two miles on the left.

From Athens Georgia, take Hwy 441 North toward Commerce. Turn right onto I-85 North. Exit at the Toccoa/Lavonia Exit #173(Hwy 17). Travel 17 miles and turn right onto Hwy 123. Travel for three miles and turn left onto Lake Louise Road. We are two miles on the left.

From Westminster, S.C., travel west on Hwy 123. Turn right onto Lake Louise Road. We are two miles on the left.

From Greenville, S.C., travel south on I-85. Exit at the Toccoa/Lavonia Exit #173(Hwy 17). Travel about 17 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 123. Travel for three miles and turn left onto Lake Louise Road. We are two miles on the left.

From Clarkesville, Georgia, travel Hwy 17 South to Hwy 123. Turn left onto Hwy 123. Travel for five miles and turn left onto Lake Louise Road. We are two miles on the left.

The room rates will be $62.50 per night plus tax or $70.00 total (incl.all tax). These are non smoking with 2 doubles. They also have campsites available at $20/nt.
