SPRINT TRIATHLON/DUATHLON

This will be the third Triathlon in the community of Union, SC and for 2010, we are adding a Duathon for those H2O-challenged athletes out there. The Union YMCA and the town of Union are very excited to as a community to again have the opportunity of hosting the only “triathlon” in our small hometown of hospitality. A small town with big ideas.

Union will be one of the fastest races in the series with a 300 yard pool swim (25 yd. lanes), 14.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. There was both a brand new swim and a new bike course in 2009 for a great event! All events will be chip timed and awards for all age groups. Relays are welcome!

2009 Race Results -

Refunds are not given for injuries, illness, schedule conflict, inclement weather, etc. once your entry has been received. Upstate Y Triathlon Series may deem it necessary to alter the format of or cancel events for safety reasons due to inclement weather, course conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. If the course is altered for any unforeseen circumstances, there will be no refunds. For insurance purposes, there will no transferring of bib numbers to another athlete. Disclaimer: A triathlon or endurance event is an extreme test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury and property loss. Participants should be physically fit, and have sufficiently trained for participation in this event(s). Before entering into any such event, we advise that you see your physician first before training for this triathlon and/or any other exercise program.
